1. We need to know exact numbers of who is coming and for (Saturday
and Sunday - Exact numbers are great, but estimates are good too.)
for the food and for entrance Sunday to Woolworth Building (we need
list of names to enter Woolworth Building)
2. Tell us if you are coming . You may bring guest Friday and Saturday
(but no guest for NR only meeting Sunday. we are limited by space)
3. We need to know the names of all films that all NR folks worked
on, other work you did in NR, the years you were in NR , what office
(like Boston, LA, NYC).
What offices did NR send you to, What film showing trips did NR send
you to (like Tom and Roz were sent on a Southern trip with films)
4. We need emails for missing people and if you know them can you
call them and tell them about the reunion and send us their email.

WE
NEED TO FIND GOOD PRINTS /OR BAD 16MM PRINTS OF ALL THE FILMS SO
WE CAN TRY TO PRESERVE THEM AND HAVE GOOD COPIES OF THE FILMS AND
TRANSFER TO DVD ETC SO PEOPLE AND SCHOOLS CAN HAVE ACCESS TO THE
HISTORY WE HAVE NO PRINTS OF SOME OF THE NR FILMS . SCHOOLS , AND
ORGANIZERS STILL USE OUR FILMS AND TEACH HISTORY WITH THEM . WHERE
ARE THE PRIMO PRINTS ARCHIVED ETC.
VERY
IMPORTANT PLEASE LET US KNOW WHAT 16MM PRINTS YOU HAVE AND CAN WE
BORROW THEM. Are they kept well or are they in your closet with
a leaky ceiling ?

does anyone have a HD camera that can be used to film the gathering
and film showings

"STRIKE CITY" (28min) pre NR film and
pre panther film distributed by NR with John Douglas and Tom Griffin
and moderated by Prof. Komozi Woodard of SLC History Department.
A member of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement

"OFF THE PIG" (17min) - the film will
be introduced by Dhoruba Bin Wahad (BPP member of the Panther 21)

by Prof Priscilla Murolo, History/Women's Studies - Michael Singer
introducing Lynn Phillips final editor of Columbia Revolt, New SDS
member Daniel Tasripin, and other Newsreel folks who filmed, worked
on editing & occupied buildings at Columbia University including
Melvin Margolis, Marvin Fishman, Bill Floyd, Rene Lichtman, Danny
Schaferman Roz Payne, David and Barbara Stone and others who worked
on the film or were part of the take over of Columbia University
. Especially, Andrea and Richard Eagan were married (filmed by Newsreel)
during the take over in Fayerweather Building. They later joined
Newsreel .

a good time for a meeting, but not a reunion
this is not "The Reunion" but a meeting that got pulled
together to piggy-back on the sarah lawrence showing? perhaps planning
for a reunion will come out of it, with dates and place set up well
ahead of time. TWN is thinking about a 40th in the spring, perhaps
that would be a great time for us all...
